The Center for Architecture & Design, Tampa Bay is a not-for-profit organization established in 2015 with the generous support of the American Institute of Architects Tampa Bay Chapter and the Tampa Community Design Center. They are here to help discover the Power of Design to shape our Community through their programs in Historic Preservation, Sustainability and Design Excellence. CA+D present Tampa Bay Design Week each spring, and offer tours, lectures, films and gallery installations throughout the year.
A recent CA+D initiative has been to spotlight the historic West Tampa Centro Espanol. They offered a walking tour of the neighborhood and introduced USF Architecture students and Professor Adriana Pablos to the Centro Espanol which was selected as the site for their spring studio. Finally, the students presented their work, drawings and models, at the Center's new building on Howard Avenue to an enthusiastic audience of community leaders, neighbors and design professionals.
